If you want to have a glimpse into what the future could look like - a free exhibition has opened at Selby Abbey.

The digital project has been co-created by local residents alongside the award-winning artist studio, idontloveyouanymore.

It's been commissioned by Mediale, which is an international media arts organisation that's based in North Yorkshire.

In the project, they've been working with 'technologically innovative and ambitious artists' - to create something that connects art with a human element, adding 'empathy and experience at its core'.

Those behind the new digital art installation are hoping to encourage visitors to explore a series of 'portals' which 'peer into imagined versions of Selby Abbey's future, which react to your gaze'.

The installation runs until July 7th.
