North Yorkshire fire service issue BBQ safety plea
Many people are planning on having a BBQ this Bank Holiday weekend
North Yorkshire's firefighters have put out a fresh warning for everyone thinking of striking the BBQ up this weekend.
They say if you have a gas one make sure it has been maintained properly before you light it.
The service is also warning us not to have a BBQ if it gets windy or take one to Yorkshire's National Parks.
John Foster is the Chief Fire Officer for North Yorkshire fire and rescue and says "It's also about making sure when you've finished, you don't just leave them and walk away but make sure they are extinguished properly.'
