Fire at derelict pub in York believed to be deliberate
Firefighters were called to put out a blaze at 'The Jubilee' in the Leeman Road area on Saturday afternoon
Firefighters believe a blaze at a derelict pub in York was started deliberately.
They were called out to 'The Jubilee' on Balfour Street in the Leeman Road area of the city just at around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington went to the scene.
They say fire, heat and smoke damage was caused to the building.
Two hose reel jets, along with breathing apparatus, a positive pressure ventilation fan, a ladder and a thermal imaging camera were used by firefighters to put out the blaze.
