East Yorkshire woman who was found dead named by police

Helen Harrison, aged 59, has been named by her family as the woman who was found dead at a property in Market Weighton on Sunday, March 5.

Humberside Police responded to reports of a safety concern at a property on Aspen Close in Market Weighton, where they discovered that Helen had suffered fatal injuries.

Currently, a 39-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of murder and is being held in police custody while officers continue their investigation.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

"Helen’s family continue to be supported by specialist trained officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time."
