Police seize drugs after concerns raised about dog

North Yorkshire Police have seized suspected cannabis from a house in Starbeck, after concerns were raised about a dog.

Officers took a welfare call last Thursday (April 13) and began searching the house after finding a "strong smell of cannabis".

Bags of suspected Class B drug were seized and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug offences and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

He has since been released under investigation.
