Motorcyclist dies and passenger in hospital following crash near York
It happened on the A166 between Fridaythorpe and Garrowby Hill on Thursday afternoon
A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash on the A166 between Fridaythorpe and Garrowby Hill on Thursday afternoon.
The bike was involved in a collision with a car at around 14:40BST on 17 August.
A 48-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
A female passenger remains in hospital in a critical condition, while the driver of the car was checked over for what are thought to be minor injuries.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information, and want to speak to witnesses.
