Almost 100 pupils at a school in York are self-isolating - after two Covid cases were confirmed.

Manor Church of England Academy in Nether Poppleton say they understand concerns - but are promising the right safety measures are in place.

The two cases were confimed this morning.

The school remains open, and is advising parents that other children should continue to attend if they remain well.

Manor CE Academy Principal, Simon Barber said "We know that parents and families may find this concerning but the necessary measures have been taken in line with the government guidance and we continue to work closely with Public Health England.”
