CCTV appeal after a York city centre theft and assault

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to following an incident in a shop in York's city centre.

It happened at Vision Express, Parliament Street, at about 1.15pm on 7th September 2023, and involved two men entering and stealing five pairs of sunglasses, with one of the men assaulting the shop manager.

The shop manager suffered leg injuries in the incident.

Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the man in these images as they believe he will have information that will help the investigation:
