Firefighters were called out to rescue a car which was balancing in a 'precarious position' at a ford near Hawes on Friday night.

It happened at Beckstones in the village of Gayle just before 8.15pm.

A driver had missed the ford, and their car ended up balancing between the road and the ford.

Luckily no-one was trapped or injured, but the car needed rescuing.
