Cannabis plants found on Richmondshire Industrial Estate

Police have found hundreds of cannabis plants on an industrial estate near Richmond.

Fire crews had been responding to an incident at the Gallowfields Trading Estate, when they found a large cannabis grow in a building there.

Officers found over 200 adult plants were in the building, and a further 100 smaller plants.

There was also electrical equipment there, and Hydroponics, devices used to help grow plants.

Posting on social media, police said: "Please call 101 if you have any info which could help our investigation quoting ref: 122101101484 or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers UK on 0800 555 11."
