Boy knocked over by car in York

It happened as the 7-year-old was walking across a pedestrian crossing

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information including dashcam footage following a collision that occurred on North Moor Road in York.

It happened at about 2.20pm on Thursday 1 April 2021 and involved a black Ford Focus and a seven-year-old child.

The young boy received minor injuries after being hit by the vehicle at a pedestrian crossing.

A male driver has been arrested in connection with the collision and released pending further enquiries.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
