Beer festival cancels event despite coronavirus restrictions lifting
Beertown is looking to reschedule a new date for Malton next year

A beer festival in Malton has decided to cancel this year's event, despite coronavirus restrictions lifting in England on Monday.
The organisers of Beertown have released a statement saying they don't feel they can "safely" deliver the festival under current government guidance.
It goes on to say that now is "not the time" for a "party atmosphere" and promises ticket holders a full refund if they want one.
The event was supposed to be taking place over the August bank holiday weekend, a full six weeks on from when restrictions will lift.
Organisers are planning a return in early 2022, but an exact date hasn't been decided.
