Four arrested after heroin and cocaine found in York

It follows a series of raids in Clifton and Clifton Moor

Four people have been arrested after a "significant" amount of heroin and cocaine was found in York.

Police carried out raids in Clifton and Clifton Moor on Thursday (January 12) and discovered a large amount of Class A drugs, as well as cash, and clothing and jewellery thought to be linked to crime.

At one address, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A drug and money laundering offences.

At another, a man and a woman in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of money laundering offences.

They have been released under investigation while extensive forensic and other police enquiries continue.
