Man arrested following fire at North Yorkshire doctor's surgery
He's been questioned on suspicion of arson, assault and possessing a knife
A ma has been arrested on suspicion of arson after an apparent attack on a member of staff at a GP in Ampleforth.
Police were called to the doctor's surgery at around 12:25pm on Tuesday 29 August, to reports of an assault on a member of staff.
Officers said the man was also armed with a knife, and a fire had damaged part of the building.
It was extinguished by firefighters and the man was taken into custody.
No serious injuries were reported.
