Appeal following upskirting incident on York pedestrian crossing
It involved a man aged in his late 20s to early 30s who allegedly used his mobile phone to take photos underneath a young woman’s skirt
Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an upskirting incident in York.
It occurred on the pedestrian crossing on the junction of Foss Island Road and Layerthorpe, heading towards the city centre, between midday and 1pm on Saturday (25 September 2021).
It involved a man aged in his late 20s to early 30s who allegedly used his mobile phone to take photos underneath a young woman’s skirt.
This is an offence known as upskirting.
The area was busy as the time of the incident and we are urging possible witnesses to come forward.
