60-year-old man attacked in York

A 60-year-old man has been assaulted near Scarborough Bridge in York.

It happened at the Clifton side of the bridge, at around 11pm on Thursday (21 October, 2021) when the victim suffered facial injuries after being assaulted by at least two young males.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information including details of anybody seen in the area at the time.

It is believed there were at least two young males involved in the incident, both wearing hoodies, but no further details are known regarding their description.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson issued this statement:

The victim did not require any medical treatment.
