University of York ranked top university in Yorkshire

The University of York has been ranked as the top university in Yorkshire.
It’s also been ranked 17th place nationally according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.
York has risen eight places to rank ninth in the research quality index, which has helped to lift it by two places in the overall rankings.
The University of York also has one of the highest graduate prospects with 82% of students going into professional jobs or graduate-level study.
In terms of graduate prospects, a runner up to York is the University of Sheffield with 80.1% of students going into professional jobs or graduate-level study.
Leeds Trinity has been found to have the best student experience in Yorkshire according to rankings.
At Leeds Arts, graduate prospects, student experience and teaching satisfaction are all on the rise, helping the university to jump more than 30 places in the overall tables.
Leeds Beckett University sits 113th place nationally dropping by one rank since last year.
According to the ranking table, completion rate in Yorkshire was one of the highest in the University of Leeds sitting at 94%.
