Choosing the perfect name for your pet can be just as challenging as picking the right name for your children, so it's no surprise we spend hours on making the difficult decision. Whilst pet names often gain and fall in popularity, some are constant, with many being influenced by TV shows, celebrities and even the time of year.
Pet Insurance provider ManyPets has conducted new research which has examined over 500,000 pet owners in order to find the top 10 most popular pet names of 2022.
According to the research, 14% of UK pet owners prefer human names such as Dave or Colin, whilst 7% actually get inspiration from items in their kitchen cupboards. 9% of people also admitted to naming their pets after a famous person.
