A man has been charged after a proactive police stop led to amphetamine, worth an approximate £180,000, being seized.

Craig Molyneux, aged 31, of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan, has been charged with possession with intent to supply amphetamine and possession of criminal property.

Molyneux was remanded in police custody ahead of a court appearance at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.

The charge follows a proactive stop of a vehicle on the M6 near Carlisle yesterday afternoon (4 September).
