The family of a woman, who died after being hit by a car in St Helens last week, say they are devastated by her loss.
Rebecca Hall, 25, who worked at a care home, was hit by a white Suzuki Vitara at around 5:35pm on Clock Face Road on Monday 3 November.
She was rushed to hospital but died two days later.
Rebecca's family said:
"As a family we are devastated at the passing of a beautiful daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece, cousin, girlfriend and much loved friend Rebecca (Becky). Becky was funny, kind and was the most beautiful soul inside and out who cared for everyone, her family and especially her patients at the care home she worked at as a wellbeing co ordinator, and every stray animal she could ever find.
"The most selfless person that we know"
"We want to thank the police family liaison officers, the nurses at Aintree ICU, who have been absolute angels at this most tragic of times, and the organ donation team. We would also like to thank those who stopped at the time of the accident that assisted both Becky and her loved ones. Becky was a beautiful young woman with her whole life ahead of her who has passed in the most tragic of circumstances. Becky was the most selfless person that we know and through that selflessness she has enabled many others to live on through her gift of life.
"Life will never be the same for the family but we have been blessed to have had her in our lives."
An investigation is underway to establish what happened, with specialist officers supporting Rebecca's family.
Merseyside Police want anyone who saw the collision, or stopped to help, to get in touch as soon as possible.
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone driving in the area around the time of the incident - and for any dashcam footage.
