Man in his 60's in critical condition after crashing into traffic light in Preston

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a serious crash in Preston.

Officers were called at 7.55am today (20th March) to Ribbleton Avenue at its junction with Acregate Lane, to a report of a road traffic collision.

They found that a Toyota Panel van had collided with a pedestrian crossing traffic light.

The driver of the van, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital and is in a serious condition.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision is being urged to contact police.
