Police launch fresh appeal following fatal collision in Oldham last month
A 20-year old sadly died in the collision, and enquiries are ongoing
Greater Manchester Police are continuing to appeal for information and are seeking a witness following a fatal collision in Oldham last month.
At around 5:47am on Thursday 18th September, officers were called to reports that a 20-year-old man had suffered serious injuries on Glodwick Road.
Sadly, he died a short time later. The driver of the car – a man, aged 53 – stayed at the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, but has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are now hoping to locate a witness, who was driving behind the vehicle involved in the collision and got out to assist.
They are believed to have been driving a black car – possibly a hatchback.
While the CCTV images aren’t fully clear, officers are hoping that the owner recognises their vehicle, remembers the incident, and comes forward.
They are being treated as a witness and officers hope they can assist with enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage, should contact police on 101 or 0161 856 4741 quoting log number 464 of 18/09/25.
Alternatively, details can be shared on their LiveChat function on their website or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
