Second fatality after house fire in Huddersfield

A man and a woman have both died after the blaze last week

A second person has died after a house fire in Huddersfield last week.

Six people were injured in the fire in the Clare Hill area last Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed 24 year old Reece Schofield, from Dewsbury, passed away earlier today.

Samantha Mills, 31, was from the Huddersfield area and died of her injuries on Friday.

One person remains hospital after the blaze which police are treating as an arson.

34 year old Craig Collier, of Clare Hill, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and perverting the course of justice.

He's been remanded in custody and set to appear in Leeds Crown Court.

West Yorkshire Police is appealing for information about the fire.
