Woman charged with murder after death of Bradford man

A woman has been charged with murder after the death of a man in Bradford.

Police were called to Shetland Close on Tuesday 16th April, where they found a man's body.

52-year-old Susan Poole is set to appear in court today.

A police statement said:

"Detectives investigating the death of a man in Bradford have charged a woman with murder.

"Susan Poole, aged 52, of Shetland Close, Bradford has been remanded in custody to appear before Bradford Magistrates this morning (Friday 19 April).

"The charge relates to an incident at an address in Shetland Close on Tuesday, 16 April, where a man’s body was found.

"A 26-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with this matter has been released on bail pending further enquiries."

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Holdsworth, who is leading the investigation, said:

“We have a number of ongoing enquiries into this incident and the circumstances surrounding it, and for those reasons would ask for people not to speculate about it on social media.

“Anyone with information which may assist our investigation can contact my team on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log reference 1109 of 16 April.”
