West Yorkshire Travel agents say it's 'inevitable' that foreign travel happens
The government is expected to unveil its traffic light system later today
We're expecting to hear more from the government today on where people in West Yorkshire can travel from the 17th of May.
It's thought the traffic light system will be unveiled, but with a limited number of countries on the green list, where people don't need to quarantine.
We asked Samantha Harvey from One world Travel in Wakefield which countries she expects to see on the green list, she said:
"We are hoping that Portugal is going to be green, Malta, Israel, Iceland the Canary Islands, but of course we are hoping the list will be added too, as soon as the data comes."
She added that without the knowledge and regulation from government, as travel agents they can't assure people.
The initial deadline for the new traffic light system for international travel was missed last week.
A report by the Commons' Transport Select Committee said the lists of destinations should be published by Saturday 1 May "at the latest".
Samantha Harvey continued:
"This time around, everyone knows to be more cautious; make sure we close boarders as soon as we can, open the boarder as well, if we can. Of course it's not ideal, because a pandemic is not ideal. International travel inevitably has to happen because it related to people's lives."
