Hundreds of homes in West Yorkshire without power after Storm Arwen

Nearly 250,000 homes across the north of England have lost power as a result of Storm Arwen battering the country with high winds, snow and rain.

Hundreds of homes in West Yorkshire are currently without power with most not expected to see repairs until today (29 November).

Dozens of postcodes across Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield have been affected.

Worst affected in West Yorkshire:

  • Huddersfield- 200 homes affected
  • Leeds- 160 homes affected
  • Halifax- 160 homes affected
  • Bradford- 80 homes affected
