Weapons, drugs and cash seized in Bradford
Police say it was part of two 'days of action'.
Weapons, drugs and cash have been seized by police in Bradford, as part of what officers are calling two "days of action".
A number of warrants were carried out in the south of the city, to "tackle and disrupt criminality in the area," police say.
2 men were arrested after police searched the car they were in, and found Class A drugs and cash.
A third man was arrested after cannabis and to blank-firing firearms (pictured) were found as a warrant was executed.
Inspector Andy Thornton, from Bradford South's Policing Team, said: “We have had a successful few days which has resulted in weapons, cash and drugs being seized and taken off the streets of the city.
“This operation is a direct response from us about concerns from local residents about criminality in the area and we hope that this proactive work will reassure the local community that we are committed to tackling crime and will take positive action to detain the perpetrators.
“I would also like to encourage anyone in the local community who has any information about crime or anti-social behaviour to come forward and speak to us. Community intelligence can be vital to us and we always act on information we are given.”
