Two men have been jailed for a combined total of over 8 years, after a shotgun was fired at a home in Wakefield.

27 year old Javed Hussain, of Grosvenor Street, will serve five years and six months after hiring 22 year old Seedy Egunu, of Townley Road, to fire the gun at a property on Coronation Street in Wrenthorpe on July 20 2022.

Detective Inspector Victoria Cruse, of WYP, said: “West Yorkshire Police takes a proactive approach to removing firearms from our streets. This is done to ensure that the people who live, work and visit the county remain safe.
