Four men who stole over a million pounds worth of vehicles from across West Yorkshire have been jailed for a combined total of more than 20 years.

All were charged as part of an investigation launched in February 2024, following a surge in thefts of motorbikes and later cars and performance vehicles from the Bradford and Calderdale districts.

Homeowners reported being threatened with weapons and forced to hand over the keys to the their vehicles.

In one case a vehicle with a wheelchair in the boot was stolen from a vulnerable adults.

It's believed some of the vehicles were stripped for parts, which were later sold on.

Detective Constable Brooke Farrington, of West Yorkshire Police said:

“This was undoubtedly an organised targeting of high value vehicles. What became clear throughout the investigation, was the lack of consideration to the families they were stealing these vehicles from.

“I hope this serves as a reminder that we will continue to relentlessly pursue those involved in organised crime and bring them to justice.”
