Metals recycling giant Unimetals Group could collapse as early as tomorrow, risking 650 jobs just weeks before Christmas.
Sources have told Sky News a search for a buyer over the last month's failed to produce a deal.
It operates more than 25 sites across Britain, including in Castleford, Huddersfield and Leeds, and has a role in the UK's steel supply chain.
it's understood a number of major companies have been approached for talks on a possible rescue deal.
