Two more men charged over Leeds machete attack

It happened in Swarcliffe last Tuesday.

Two men will appear in court today charged in relation to a machete attack in Leeds last week.

23-year-old Joshua Tilleard from Shipley, and Kyle Hughes aged 25 will appear in Leeds Magistrates today.

An 18-year-old man sufferers serious injuries to his hand in the attack in Swarcliffe on Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police released the following statement:

"Two men are due to appear in court charged in relation to an incident in Leeds in which a man suffered a severed hand."

"Joshua Tilleard, aged 23, of Baildon, Shipley, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to the incident in Stanks Parade, Swarcliffe, on Tuesday, April 13, where an 18-year-old man was attacked with a machete.

"He is also charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop in relation to the circumstances of his arrest yesterday.

"Kyle Hughes, aged 24, of no fixed address has been charged with violent disorder in relation to the incident in Swarcliffe on April 13.

"Both men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning."
