Two men arrested and woman injured after house shot in West Yorkshire
Emergency services were called to the property in South Elmsall on Thursday night (18 January)
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms injuries and a woman has been injured after a house was reportedly shot at in South Elmsall.
Emergency services were called to the property in Langthwaite Lane at around 20:49GMT on Thursday 18 January.
It's believed the suspects pulled up in a car outside the house and shot at a window, with a woman suffering a minor injury to her arm.
Two men, aged 33 and 21, were arrested a short time later and are currently being questioned by police.
Detective Inspector Tom Hilyer said: “Firearms offences are treated extremely seriously by West Yorkshire Police and we fully recognise the concern they cause in communities.
“Police have been conducting a wide range of enquiries and we have now arrested two men in connection with what took place.”
He added: “We are appealing for witnesses, and I would like to speak with anyone who saw suspicious behaviour outside the property on Langthwaite Lane, just before or after the shooting."
