A teenager who died following a crash on the M1 near Wakefield has been described as an "inspiration" and a "beautiful soul".
17-year-old Elise Thomas, who was from Driffield in East Yorkshire, was taken to hospital following the collision between two cars on Saturday 12 August.
West Yorkshire Police have confirmed she died on Friday 18 August as a result of her injuries.
Her family said: "Elise was a beautiful soul. She was an inspiration to others and was amazingly talented with her photography.
"Even at such a young age she was successful. Everything she touched turned to gold".
Police are continuing to investigate the crash and are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage.
