COVID-19 tests for fully vaccinated travellers arriving in England are set to be scrapped

COVID tests for fully vaccinated travellers arriving in England are being scrapped, but there are concerns over where that leaves unvaccinated travellers.

Transport secretary Grant Shapps says that from 4am on the 11th February, fully vaccinated people arriving in the UK will no longer need to take a Covid test.

It's understood unvaccinated people, over the age of 12, won't be able to travel in some countries.

Tony Mann from Idle Travel in Bradford said:

"It's good for vaccinated people, but anyone over 12, who is unvaccinated, won't be able to travel in some countries, so that's our concern for February half term.

"It's going to mean that 2022, is the year for travel, as we can see from all the bookings already coming in.

"Travels been badly hit for the last couple of years, but the only thing we need from the government is no more knee jerks reactions. January has been pretty busy anyway because of the removal of in-resort testing, so this is actually just going to make us even more busier."
