Three jailed for kidnap and assault in Dewsbury

Three men have been jailed for a combined total of almost 30 years after an 18 year old was kidnapped and seriously assaulted in Dewsbury.
It's in connection to an incident which happened in Clough Lane, Earlsheaton on the 11th of December 2018.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing and found that the victim, an 18 year old man, had been taken in a vehicle by three other people.
He was then subjected to a 'serious and prolonged' assault involving a knife.
23 year old Conor Hinchcliffe, of Healey Gardens in Batley, has been jailed for a total of 13 years at Leeds Crown Court for his role in the attack.
21 year old Zain Hussain, of Low Road in Dewsbury, has been jailed for 9 years
Ateeq Rashid, who's 20 and of Ealand Road in Batley, has been given a six and half year prison sentence.
Sergeant Ian Carruthers, of West Yorkshire Police said: “This was a seriously violent attack and I hope that the sentence these men have received will be of some comfort to the victim and will give him some closure.
“Violent offences will not be tolerated and those found to be involved can expect to receive significant sentences when brought before the courts.”
