There are calls in West Yorkshire for a new stalking register.
It's part of the Domestic abuse bill, which is back in the commons today (15th April).
It includes proposals for the government to keep a register of those who've been serial offenders of stalking or domestic abuse
Campaign groups like The Alice Ruggle Trust have been asking for this change for a while now.
Joanna Hinchcliffe from 'Break The Silence' in Wakefield said:
"It's very much welcomed, but it's only scratching the surface of a much wider national problem, there's far more that needs to be done to help.
"30 women have been killed this year by their partner or ex-partner, it is a start and the press around this shows the urgency for change in both the opinion of the general public and professionals around stalking.
"It concerns me a great deal, that they'll be lots of people who don't benefit because from this because their partner or ex-partner hasn't been charged with an offence."
