Four teenagers have been arrested after a gang were seen chasing another boy into a shop with machetes in Leeds.

Police were called to Foundry Approach in Gipton just after 3pm on Sunday (07th July).

They then stopped four boys aged between 15 and 18 in Harehills, where they found a gun and three machetes.

It is believed the gun was a blank-firing weapon, that had been converted to fire modified ammunition.

The teenagers have been questioned on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Police have also confirmed they are in contact with the boy who was chased into the shop, and no-one was injured.

Detectives now want to speak to any witnesses or anyone else with information.
