Some schools closed in South Yorkshire due to the heat

It's going to be another hot day with highs of 40 degrees in South Yorkshire today.

Some schools have decided to close due to the weather, including:

• Brightside Nursery Infant School

• Limpsfield Junior School

• Springfield Primary School - 19th July - Closures for classrooms affected by extreme temperatures. Nursery class will be closed for the afternoon session. Year 5 & Year 6 classes please collect your child after lunch at 1pm from KS2 playground.

• Bankwood Primary School

• Greenacre School
