Actor Samuel L. Jackson has been spotted filming the latest Marvel series in the streets of Leeds.

He's appearing in new Avengers spin-off Secret Invasion- alongside Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke.

Details of the project are being kept tightly under-wrapped, but it's believed it could begin as soon as this year.

Olivia Coleman, Ben Mendelsohn and How I Met Your Mother's Colbie Smoulders are also believed to be involved.

It looks like Leeds will be doubling for Russia, with Cyrillic script covering the front of shops and restaurants.

Vehicles- including a neon green supercar- were seen with Russian licence plates, alongside what appeared to be Russian taxis.

Samuel L. Jackson was also spotted leaving an Italian restaurant in Huddersfield on Saturday night, and stopped to take selfies with fans.

Secret Invasion has also spent time filming at the Piece Hall in Halifax, where more Russian banners were seen.

It's not the only Hollywood production to come to Yorkshire in recent months.

Harrison Ford was spotted filming the new Indiana Jones film in Grosmont, along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Tom Cruise was also in Pickering last year, to shoot scenes for the next instalment of Mission: Impossible.
