From today (16 August), people who are double jabbed won't have to isolate when pinged by the app.

It will apply to people who had their second vaccine dose at least 14 days before coming into contact with a positive case.

However, they will be asked to self-declare that they've been identified as close contact to someone with covid-19, if they are double-jabbed or under 18 and will be advised to book a PCR test.

Health and social care staff will have to provide a negative PCR test before they can go back to work and will need to take daily lateral flow tests for 10 days.

People working with clinically extremely vulnerable patients will have to do a risk assessment before going to work.
