Road Closures for Leeds Pride weekend

The event is taking place in the city over the weekend.

Leeds Pride is back this weekend, with thousands expected in the city centre. Last year during the 6 hours on Lower Briggate, around 35,000 people watched the show, more joined for the parade and thousands were in Millennium Square.

There will be plenty of events this year too and a parade that will go from Millenium Square.

As a result some roads will be closed in the city centre for the event.

Roads will be closed to vehicles and unauthorised pedestrians 6am hours to midnight on Sunday 6 August for the main event site.

Roads to be closed from 9am to 3.30pm on Sunday 6 August for the Parade build up.

Parade Route

The Parade will start on the east side of Millennium Square and proceed in a southerly direction down Cookridge Street, turning left onto The Headrow, then turning right onto Vicar Lane and turning left onto Kirkgate/New York Street/York Street turning right into Duke Street, turning right into Kirkgate and onto High Court before continuing onto The Calls where the Parade will terminate.

There will be closure points from 1.45pm to 4.15pm hours on Sunday 6 August to facilitate the Parade route.

Bus gates to be suspended and Reversal of One Way flow - 6am to midnight on Sunday 6 August to permit diversion route.

Parking to be Suspended from 6pm hours on Saturday 5 August.
