More than 90% of cyber-crimes are preventable.

That’s according to officers at West Yorkshire's Cyber Crime Unit who have been speaking to Radio Aire on Safer Internet Day.

This year's campaign is tackling harassment, bullying and fraud committed online as well as how to make the internet safer for children and young people.

It's as a survey has found eight out of ten teenagers claim to have either seen or heard online abuse over the last 12 months.

One in four say they've been targeted themselves on things like social media, games or instant messaging.

The report which surveyed 13 to 18 year olds found trolls attacked them over their gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or disability.
