We're hearing there has been positive change for people suffering from endometriosis, thanks to the work place debate last month.

Endometriosis is a painful disease where the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus instead is found growing in other places around the body.

This leads to symptoms ranging from extreme period pain, organ damage, to related bowel, bladder and fertility problems.

It's not clear what causes endometriosis.

Since the debate, we've heard that more businesses have signed up to Endo Friendly scheme and that more employers have spoke to staff about how they can best support them.

Keisha Meek from Leeds suffers from Endometriosis and PCOS, she's been backing the debate since the start, she said:

"I've found people have gone to work and their employers are talking to them about it because they've seen it on different media platforms and they're speaking to people about it, saying they didn't really understand the impact it had on them or their day to day life.

"There are laws we have already to protect people, but because of a lack of understanding, those laws are not implemented, so we need to educate, raise that awareness and it should make people in the workplace more comfortable to say, 'I am really suffering today'".

To mark Endometriosis awareness month, buildings across Leeds will be lighting up this evening to show support.
