Police launch appeal after man left seriously injured in Featherstone

The victim was found with serious stab wounds requiring treatment

Police in West Yorkshire are appealing for information and witnesses following an incident that left a man with serious injuries.

Officers first received reports of a man requiring immediate treatment on Moor Road in Featherstone just after 8pm on Friday night (May 10th).

Following reports of a disturbance, responders arrived on the scene to find a 31-year-old man with a serious stab wound.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have already arrested a 36-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman in connection with the incident and currently remain at Wakefield Police station to be questioned.

Investigators for the incident are now appealing for information and witnesses who may have any vital information as they piece together what has happened.
