20 year old becomes latest jailed over Harehills disorder

A 24th person has now been convicted and sentenced over the rioting in Harehills last summer, with a 20 year old man being handed a two year sight month sentenced earlier.
Peter Budai, of Leeds, admitted arson and violent disorder following the unrest on July 18.
Police were pelted with missiles and a bus was set alight during a night of disorder between July 18 and 19 2024.
77 arrests have been made over the disorder, with 38 being charges so far.
