People living in Leeds are being encouraged to keep an eye on their emotional wellbeing.

It's as new Government lockdown measures were brought in across West Yorkshire yesterday.

Kate Goldring works for the mental health charity 'Mind' in the city.

She's been telling us how we can learn to relax more;

"It's important to make time to listen to music, read a book, or just find something which can help you unwind.

"A break from screens can also help, with many of us working from home at the minute.

"Make the most of the daylight hours, use that time to go out and get that fresh air.

"Connecting with nature is key, but it's really great to also be able to use media platforms to be able to connect and communicate with your loved ones.

"We may not be able to see each other in numbers at the moment, but it doesn't mean that we can't do that online."

Kate also insists help is available for those who're struggling;

"Look on the mind website; there's lots of support on there.

"If you aren't finding life easy, we are still here. Please reach out, please contact your GP.

"It's vital that you reach out and access the support which you might be needing."
