Part of a Leeds tower block evacuated after fire
Emergency services were called this morning
Two people have been given medical treatment after a flat fire in Leeds.
Emergency services were called to Oatland Towers this morning - the two top floors of the building have been evacuated.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said:
"We were called at 08.04 today to reports of a fire at Oatland Towers.
"We currently have seven crews in attendance plus our aerial ladder from Bradford and our command and welfare units.
"The top two floors (15 and 16) have been evacuated."
They continued to say:
"Firefighters extinguished a fire contained within a flat on the 15th floor. Two casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service.
"Damping down is in progress."
