New Tipple Launched in Memory of Jane Tomlinson

After all the exertions in the name of Jane Tomlinson - the charity named after the Leeds fundraiser's doing something a little less energetic today. They've teamed up with Leeds Brewery and will raise a toast to the success off the appeal which this week announced it's raised £7.6m - by naming a brew after Jane. Tomlinson’s Tipple is on sale in the Brewery’s venues across Leeds - and every pint pulled will see more cash for the charity.

It's not just the name which is inspired by Jane though. The 4% ABV pale ale was also Jane's favourite and her family have helped develop it according to Sam Moss from Leeds Brewery: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with the Jane Tomlinson appeal as they celebrate this tremendous milestone in their fundraising activity.

"We look forward to being able to raise a pint of our commemorative beer with the Tomlinson family, the appeal team and many of those who have contributed to helping countless tremendous causes."

Jane’s daughter Suzanne said: "We’re really grateful for Leeds Brewery’s support and having a beer in mum’s name is a lovely touch.

"We’ve sampled it and we think it’s great. Hopefully, people will get along to a Leeds Brewery pub before the end of February and give it a try. Not only will they be able to enjoy a great drink – but they’ll be helping support the work of the Appeal."

Mike Tomlinson said about Jane’s thoughts on the celebratory ale: "Jane would think it’s fantastic, she was a beer drinker and this is about as good as it gets.

"Suzanne and I helped to design the beer with the team at the brewery but I have to be honest, it tastes so good I can’t begin to believe it’s something we’ve created. It’s great!"
