Murder investigation launched following the death of a man in Halifax

A man and woman are being questioned on suspicion of murder

West Yorkshire police have launched a murder investigation after a man died in Halifax.

At 8.57am today (7th August), police were called to a report of an injured male in Myrtle Avenue.

The man, who is thought to be in his twenties, was taken to hospital, but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

Police have arrested a local man and woman, she's 35 and he is 20, on suspicion of murder and the pair are being detained at this time by detectives.

His family is being supported by specially trained officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who are leading the investigation.
