Castleford Tigers' Super League match against Warrington was slightly delayed last night, after a mascot drove off with the match ball.

Whizzy Rascal brought the ball onto the pitch in a mini-BMW, but ended up going straight past referee James Child and Warrington's Stefan Ratchford.

Match officials sent him onto the pitch in full protective gear, but on his first attempt, he ended up going straight past the halfway point.

A player then helped Whizzy turn his mini-motor around, but he ended up on the sidelines at the other end of the pitch.

He then handed the ball over to the players, much to their amusement, who finally got the ball to the centre and the match got underway.

It might have been better for Castleford if he'd driven off though - they ended up losing 34-10.
